City Lights with Anna Bogutskaya
In episode 78 Sam is joined by film writer, festival director and co-founder of the Final Girls podcast & film collective, Anna Bogutskaya.
Anna has chosen Charlie Chaplin's 1931 classic City Lights. Considered one of his best films, it stars Chaplin as the Little Tramp, with Virginia Cherrill and Harry Myers.
Sam and Anna discuss Chaplin's perfect comic timing, his enduring legacy 100 years on, and how City Lights could be one of the first rom-coms ever made.
